Our first loaf of bread came out of the oven in June of 1998. The bakery was in the old button factory on Islington Street in Portsmouth. We have locations in Exeter and Greenland, NH.
We’re a family owned business named after our three sons Max, Eli and Ollie. We hope you enjoy our bread as much as we enjoy baking it and serving it up to you!
It all starts with our wheat, the foundation of our baked goods. Our certified organic hard red wheat berries are grown for us in northern Montana. We mill our own flour in our Portsmouth bakery insuring the best tasting, most nutritious bread available. We then deliver the fresh bread to our other café locations daily. After all, it’s the bread that makes the sandwich! With our scratch made breads, house made spreads and select meats, cheeses, and veggies we craft our yummy sandwiches. We bake our cookies, muffins, scones from scratch, with ingredients you'd have in your own kitchen. Fresh salads are made to order and are served with a slice of our bread. We serve soup when the weather gets cold, with a slice of our bread to dunk.
Me & Ollie's met A&E Coffee and Tea at the 'Best of NH' party. We both strive to be the best in what we do. That means not only providing yummy products, but also being aware of how the ingredients come to us. A&E Coffe and Tea focuses on sustainable business practices by sourcing ethically grown coffees, building strong and lasting relationships with growers and being engaged in our local communities.
